Le Bingueau

Level 1 on Bingueau - French Bingo!

The folks who write Language Requirement also wrote an iPhone app… Le Bingueau (the French word for Bingo!).

Download Bingueau on the iTunes Store, the French Bingo game that helps you learn French in a fun, interactive way.
You’ll see a grid much like a Bingo game. An English word appears at the bottom- match it to the French word on the Bingo board. Get 5 correct matches horizontally, vertically or diagonally to win and move on to the next level. Each time you press a Bingo tile, our French speaker pronounces the selected word. This helps with memory retention and your pronunciation.

The three current levels cover your home, cooking and food, and getting dressed, with more to come! Play just once and you’ll be shouting “Le Bingueau”! Appropriate for both kids and adults. Fun animated win screens, highlighting French cultural icons, help you get hip to funky French history, too.

Bingueau the iPhone app

A great addition to any coursework in your French class, as well as a quick study to improve your high school French. Whether you’d like to have a leg up on an upcoming trip to Paris, or brush up on the Language of Love, Bingueau helps you not with boring lists of static word lists, but by a fun and engaging game.

Audio prompts, in French, help you retain the correct pronunciation and help you learn by sound, not just by reading. By playing a few games you’ll already associate French vocabulary to their English equivalents–  priceless for listening comprehension. Clear audio with precise pronunciation ensures that your French will astound and impress even the most snobbish Parisienne. Well, maybe not the *most* snobby.

Feel free to comment here, or email us at bingueau@gmail.com with suggestions- from new games, to new word lists, to new interfaces and result screens. We love to hear from the folks using our app so don’t hesitate to use the contact screen or email bingueau@gmail.com

You've Quelled Sartre's Nausea ... Level 1 Win Screen

Playful, clever win screens make this a cultural experience, more than a simple vocab lesson. Mary McArthur Kikatka.com and Anna Billstrom of Banane.com merge their (albeit already brilliant) minds to create a truly creative and fun way to keep up with your French language skills!
